The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Flexographic Press Operator to set up, operate, maintain, and adjust flexographic printing presses to produce high\u2011quality printed products that meet customer and regulatory specifications. This role involves make\u2011ready execution, press operation, preventative maintenance, and collaboration with cross\u2011functional teams to support continuous improvement, safety, and efficiency in a fast\u2011paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, adjust, maintain, and operate a flexographic printing press.
Work independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals.
Perform make\u2011readies by installing anilox rollers, plates, inks, and dies and adjusting press components for optimal print quality.
Clean, lubricate, and make minor machine adjustments to maintain consistent production quality.
Notify supervision of required repairs or replacement parts.
Deliver finished materials to designated manufacturing areas.
Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and established maintenance schedules.
Assist with other printing or finishing processes as directed.
Support training and development of team members as assigned.
Accurately understand and follow job documentation and printing specifications.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, SOPs, and cGMP requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Support LEAN principles through problem identification, evaluation, and resolution.
Focus on continuous improvement, quality, efficiency, safety, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments and maintenance personnel on projects or validations.
Communicate effectively with management and production teams.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
High school diploma or GED required.
1-3 years of related flexographic printing experience.
Ability to read and write simple instructions and documentation.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Proficient use of hand tools.
Ability to pass color vision and color\u2011hue tests.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Willingness to work overtime as needed, including during peak production periods.
Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
