Job Summary
We are seeking an innovative and meticulous Design Engineer to undertake mechanical engineering activities, collaborate with our expert teams, and ensure safe, robust, and value-engineered mechanical designs for our world-leading Ejector systems and process packages.
Responsibilities
Undertake mechanical engineering activities as required for studies, projects, and consultancy.
Collaborate as part of the mechanical engineering team.
Ensure safe and robust value-engineered mechanical designs for all products and process packages.
Perform 3D modelling for Transvac Ejectors, Silencers, and associated equipment.
Design full system packages including Ejectors, vessels, structural skid base frames, pipework runs, and pneumatic/electrical hookups.
Generate comprehensive design drawings (General Arrangement, Assembly, detailed manufacture drawings, Sub-assembly isometrics, etc.).
Generate bills of material for procurement and hydrostatic testing.
Interact frequently with various engineering disciplines and departments.
Support the Mechanical Department team and check CAD design engineers' and contractors' drawings.
Support the Mechanical Design Assurance team.
Participate in personal development training including Transvac internal operating systems, health and safety, and quality assurance.
Basic Qualifications
Accredited mechanical engineering degree (MEng/MSc preferred, or BEng/BSc with excellent engineering principles).
Attention to detail, a curious mind, and creative thinking.
Ability to build good working relationships and collaborate effectively.
Resourceful problem solver with an innovative mind.
Focused on deadlines and targets with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Understanding of basic manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
