Alfred University Visiting Assistant Profesor - Childhood/Early Childhood Education in Alfred, New York
Alfred University's College of Liberal Arts & Sciences invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Education position to begin no later than August 2026. We seek an education generalist-prepared to teach in some of the areas listed below--for a growing program in Teacher Education. We seek an educator committed to excellence in the field of teacher education who will help students connect theory and practice in the classroom and who brings a current understanding of pedagogical best practices. This position provides opportunities to mentor graduate and undergraduate students and to expand our programs in Early Childhood/Childhood Education.
Salary: $62,354-$64,853 annually
Responsibilites
Teaching courses in one or more of the following areas:
Childhood/Early Childhood (all subjects)
lnclusive and Special Education
Supervision of practicum and student teaching
Pursuing an active program of scholarly inquiry
Advising and mentoring students
Engaging in service to the Education Division, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the University, our community, and the profession.
Desired Background
Earned doctorate desired, ABO considered
PK-12 classroom teaching experience
