Join a dynamic team focused on manufacturing fire trucks for municipalities nationwide. The role involves working directly with dealers to modify and edit quotes, ensuring the products sold are those that can be manufactured. This position integrates the sales team within the engineering department, facilitating direct communication with the dealer network.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with dealers to modify and edit quotes, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability of fire trucks.
Utilize quote writer software and DraftSight, spending 50% of the time in each, to ensure clean quotes.
Ensure 2D drawings are accurate by taking preset assemblies known as blocks and adjusting them accordingly.
Work with dealers on orders to ensure their requests are understood and validate that the fire truck can be manufactured.
Modify drawings using AutoCAD 2D.
Act as a liaison between the engineering department and the dealer network.
Update and modify offerings in the quote writer software.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 2D CAD software.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong skills in Excel.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Troubleshooting abilities.

Work Environment
This is an office-based position within a small, family-owned company poised for significant growth. The company has expanded its dealer network significantly, necessitating additional personnel to manage growth and incoming orders. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alexis, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.25/hr.
