Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering and construction team responsible for developing, integrating, and delivering engineering solutions for complex mechanical projects within the mission critical sector. This role involves producing a wide range of project deliverables, including engineering drawings, specifications, equipment and product selection, installation sequence planning, and development of testing and commissioning documents.
This position is designed for an experienced engineer with a working knowledge of industry concepts, practices, and techniques. The Mechanical Engineer is expected to independently identify, analyze, and resolve engineering challenges of moderate scope and complexity while operating with limited to moderate supervision.
Perform calculations, evaluations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout for project proposal and contract execution
Determine or assist in determining project engineering scopes of work, deadlines, and budget, and complete support within agreed deadlines and budget.
Produce construction contract drawings and specifications consistent with contract requirements and Regulations, applicable industrial Codes and Standards
Address any mechanical design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning issues
Develop system sequence of operations, compliance matrices and other project support documentation
Participate in Pre-Installation Testing and Checkout (PITCO) processes including system programming, integration testing, and equipment build outs.
Participate in and ensure successful project construction, start up, and commissioning
Documentation of design work via AutoCAD and REVIT in 2D and 3D platforms
Provide support for construction activities, including but not limited to, responses to Requests for Information, review of project equipment submittals, and technical support of operations management.
Research, prototype, and develop emerging technologies to implement the latest and best-in-bread capabilities to meet the customers’ emerging needs.
Keep senior staff informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and that the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
Manage your time effectively and support multiple projects concurrently.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
2+years of relevant experience in design, testing and commissioning of building power systems.

Strong application knowledge of ASHRAE Handbook and Standards.
Possess a strong working knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, and cooling systems, including applicable codes and industry standards.
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fundamentals of Engineering certification or Professional Engineer license.
Proficiency with the latest version of AutoCAD and Revit experience.
Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
Demonstrated time management and organization skills working independently to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
