Director, Community Engagement & Strategic Content
I. Strategic Objective
Support the development and operationalization of a high-impact member community and strategic content engine that positions the SHRM Center for Inclusion and Diversity (C-I-D) as a trusted, evidence-based resource for employers.
Translate research, benchmarking insights, and market signals into actionable content, case studies, and community experiences that are legally compliant, workplace unifying, and business accretive.
II. Core Responsibility Pillars
Community Engagement Coordination: Assist in the design and implementation of a high-trust member community, engaging senior HR leaders, Chief Diversity Officers, and business executives.
Content Development Support: Collaborate with SHRM Thought Leadership operations to deliver strategic content, including labor economic impacts and business implications.
Multi-Platform Content Production: Work with internal teams to produce and distribute strategic content across multiple platforms.
Case Study and Briefing Development: Support the creation of enterprise-grade case studies and translate research into briefings and thought leadership materials.
Narrative and Compliance Alignment: Ensure all content aligns with C-I-D’s framing and compliance standards.
Advisory Services Support: Assist in translating insights into advisory-ready solutions and support business development activities.
Operational Process Improvement: Help build and maintain systems connecting research, content, community, and revenue streams.
III. Qualifications and Leadership Profile
Experience: Minimum ten years in enterprise communications, content development, thought leadership, community building, or advisory environments.
Skills: Ability to coordinate projects, translate complex concepts into actionable deliverables, and work collaboratively across teams.
Professionalism: Strong communication skills and ability to operate effectively in visible, cross-functional environments.
IV. Technical and Professional Capabilities
Platform Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; able to produce professional deliverables.
CRM Experience: Familiarity with CRM and community platforms such as Salesforce.
Data Orientation: Comfortable leveraging data and AI tools to support content development and community engagement.

Work Environment
Hybrid Position (3 Days In-Office, 2 Days Remote):
This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence [three days per week] and remote work [two days per week]. Core work hours will be designated by the department. The office environment includes a standard workstation setup with collaborative spaces, while remote work requires a reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home workspace. Employees must maintain availability during standard business hours and adhere to company policies for both in-office and remote work.
Travel: 20 – 30%

The hiring range for this position is $105,000 to $132,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
