Armed Security Officer
Friday-Saturday (10:00pm-4:30am)
$25/hour
Role: The Armed Security Officer provides a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies and procedures. This position requires carrying a firearm and responding to threats with sound judgment and professionalism. Officers conduct patrols, monitor surveillance, verify access credentials, and respond to emergencies, alarms, and suspicious activities. Additional duties include maintaining detailed logs, coordinating with law enforcement, and delivering professional customer service while maintaining a strong, visible security presence. High alertness, integrity, and calmness under pressure are essential. Officers must be licensed, trained in firearm safety, and compliant with all regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of verifiable Armed Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience
Valid or obtainable Armed Louisiana Security License
21+ years old
Must pass Armed training and hold a valid pistol permit
Duties & ResponsibilitiesSecurity Operations
Conduct regular patrols to enhance safety and report concerns
Monitor access points; verify identification and credentials
Enforce security procedures per Post Instructions
Incident Response & Reporting
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents using established protocols
Maintain detailed activity and incident logs
Lock/unlock doors, manage security systems, and monitor CCTV feeds
Customer Service & Professionalism
Assist visitors and employees with professionalism
Enforce SEI and Client policies (smoking, loitering, parking)
Maintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance
Required Skills & AbilitiesMinimum
Ability to perform in fast-paced, stressful environments
Availability to work weekends as needed
Strong situational awareness and curiosity
Ability to remain calm and problem-solve in critical situations
Basic computer skills; ability to use a tablet for reporting
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for at least 1 hour without break
Education & ExperienceMinimum
High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of verifiable Armed Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience
Preferred
- Current, valid Armed Louisiana Security License
