The Savila Collaborative DBA Centro Savila School-Based Behavioral Health Clinician in Albuquerque, New Mexico
The School-Based Behavioral Health Clinician provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy to high school students during the school day. This role addresses emotional, behavioral, and social challengesincluding early trauma, substance use, and family stressthat impact students academic achievement and overall wellbe ing. The clinician works closely with educators, families, peer case managers, and community partners to address the Social Determinants of Health, while also super vising non-independently licensed providers as appropriate. The position combines therapeutic intervention, crisis response, advocacy, and pro gram development to foster a supportive, culturally responsive school environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Services
Provide individual, group, and family therapy to students, including crisis intervention.
Conduct intake assessments, diagnoses, and treatment/service plans for referred students.
Develop and implement evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions.
Observe students in various school settings and formulate goals and objectives tailored to their needs.
Collaboration and Advocacy
Collaborate with school staff, peer case managers, and external providers to ensure multidisciplinary treatment planning and continuity of care.
Consult with school personnel regarding best practices in adolescent mental health.
Advocate for students and families to access school and community resources.
Promote positive, respectful, and culturally responsive communication between home, school, and community.
Supervision and Leadership
Provide clinical supervision to non-independently licensed school-based therapists (if independently licensed and approved).
Participate in school-based team meetings, Centro Svila clinical meetings, and continuous quality improvement activities.
Review and evaluate the clinical program annually for ongoing improvement. Continued on next page
Documentation and Compliance
Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, billing, and outcome reports.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and organizational policies.
Submit periodic data reports and maintain referral logs in collaboration with the enrollment team and Clinical Director.
Professional Development
Stay current on best practices, community resources, and state/federal policies.
Engage in consultation, research, and training to expand knowledge and skills.
