Day to Day
You will own the product strategy, roadmap, and team for the systems platform that powers Indeed's high-volume small business sales and support organization. Your scope spans Salesforce Service Cloud (case management, voice, live chat, routing), Sales Cloud (lead routing, conversion, high-velocity sales workflows), and a growing AI and automation layer that includes Agentforce, custom MCP tool development, and integration with Indeed's conversational AI platform.
The role sits at the intersection of enterprise platform management and AI product strategy, and the person who thrives here will be someone who can build consensus across diverse business partners, drive decisions in ambiguous environments, and translate complex cross-functional dynamics into a clear roadmap the team can execute against. Our team already has deep Salesforce engineering expertise and solution architecture. What we need is a product leader who brings strategic clarity, ability to influence, and the discipline to say no to low-impact work so the team can focus on what matters most.
Responsibilities
Own the product strategy, roadmap, and backlog across the full platform, spanning service, sales, and AI/automation capabilities
Provide work direction and mentorship to two product managers, including priority-setting, deliverable review, and developing their partner communication and metric-driven decision-making skills
Drive alignment across business leadership, engineering, and cross-functional partners who often hold competing priorities and timelines
Serve as the primary product voice for this platform in leadership forums, translating complex technical and operational dynamics into clear recommendations and tradeoff framing for senior leaders
Define success metrics before work begins, track outcomes after delivery, and use data to inform what the team builds next and what it deliberately does not
Establish and protect a healthy product operating rhythm for the team: sprint planning, partner syncs, roadmap reviews, and capacity alignment with engineering
Anticipate downstream impacts of platform decisions and proactively surface risks, dependencies, and sequencing constraints
Skills/Competencies
Requires a minimum of 14 years of related experience; or a minimum of 12 years with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience.
Experience providing direction or direct management to product managers or analysts; sets clear expectations, delivers feedback, and develops talent
Proven ability to navigate complex partner environments with competing priorities and drive alignment
Strategic communicator and storyteller; clearly articulates impact, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior leaders
Demonstrated ability to push back constructively, maintain scope discipline, and refocus efforts on highest-impact work
Experience building and maintaining product roadmaps that balance near-term delivery with long-term platform strategy
Data-driven approach with the ability to define success metrics, analyze outcomes, and guide prioritization decisions; communicates effectively in a fully remote, globally distributed environment
