Full Time position, 6:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Thursday with potential for mandatory overtime on Friday.
DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual for the position of assembly. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for wood craftsmanship along with a keen eye for detail. The successful applicant will work closely with our production team to ensure that materials are properly assembled and are of the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for operating machinery and tools and following safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Our ideal candidate will possess technical skills, an eye for detail, and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
POSITION SUMMARY
Assist other wood processing workers to operate, maintain and repair various machines and equipment, and carry out wood processing activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To verify orders and be able to cut, groove, plane and run wood through the machines to process orders in the right styles and measurements.
- Carry out all tasks with the highest regard for quality and safety.
- Ability to learn how to read calibers.
- Ability to obtain a forklift license within a reasonable time.
- Pickup and delivery of wood materials
- Loading and unloading of woodworking machinery.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Inspecting final product for any inconsistencies or defects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and personnel as well as other employees.
- Previous experience with hand tools, miter and table saw is desired but not necessary.
- Be able to read a tape measure.
- Must be able to work in airborne sawdust as well as in hot, cold, wet, humid, and loud environments for long periods of time.
- Be able to work on concrete floor (10 Hours).
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift to 75 or more pounds.
- Must have a full range of body movements, turning, twisting, bending arms, legs, wrist, hands and fingers.
- Must be able to read and understand all safety training.
- Have reliable transportation to work.
