Position Title: Project Specialist
Department: Fuels
Reports To: VP of Laboratory Operations
Employment Type: Permanent, Part Time
Position Overview
The Project Specialist provides comprehensive technical and administrative support across multiple Bureau Veritas operational functions. This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance, quality assurance, and project delivery excellence through coordinated management of corrective actions, non-conformance documentation, audit processes, and specialized reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Corrective Action & Non-Conformance Management
Coordinate and track corrective action reports (CARs) and non-conformance reports (NCRs) from initiation through closure
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation supporting CAR/NCR investigations and resolutions
Liaise between operational teams, clients, and management to ensure timely and effective corrective actions
Monitor compliance with established timelines and escalate delays appropriately
Maintain audit trails and records in accordance with Bureau Veritas quality standards
Method Audits & Quality Assurance
Provide administrative and technical support for method audit planning and execution
Prepare audit schedules, checklists, and supporting documentation
Compile audit findings and coordinate follow-up activities
Support continuous improvement initiatives based on audit outcomes
Assist in maintaining audit records and compliance documentation
Emissions Reporting & Technical Writing
Contribute to the preparation and compilation of emissions reports
Support technical documentation and report writing activities
Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements in all reporting deliverables
Coordinate with technical teams to gather and validate data for reporting purposes
Special Projects & Administrative Support
Provide flexible support for ad-hoc special projects as assigned
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications
Organize meetings, prepare meeting materials, and maintain project records
Support process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives

Travel & Field Support
Travel to client sites, facilities, and project locations as required (estimated 10% of time)
Provide on-site technical and administrative coordination
Conduct field observations and gather supporting documentation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, project coordination, or related role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical capabilities
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with audit management systems or quality management software
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, or similar management system standards
Knowledge of environmental compliance or emissions reporting frameworks
Experience in testing, inspection, or certification environments
