CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking aStructural Engineering Leader – Northeast Regionto join ourArchitecture & Structures TeaminAlbany, NY; Syracuse, NY; Bethlehem, PA; or Boston, MA.In this pivotal role, you’ll guide multidisciplinary teams and project managers, influence the design and delivery of impactful buildings and infrastructure, and help foster a culture of innovation, sustainability, and technical mastery.
What You'll Do:
Lead and inspire a talented group of professionals, keeping a pulse on team morale and engagement
Oversee staffing levels, resource allocation, and operational activities to ensure optimal team performance
Develop and mentor staff to deliver high-quality architectural and structural projects—on time and within budget
Directly manage projects of varying size and scope, from planning and proposal development to closeout and client satisfaction
Monitor financial performance, recommend improvements, and drive business practice targets
Communicate regularly with leadership and staff, sharing key wins, recognition, and performance updates
Champion quality control, risk management, and project audits to ensure technical excellence
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience required, with project management and technical leadership experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices
Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
Proven success as a leader—strategic, technically astute, and client-focused
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; persuasive and articulate in all settings
Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
Ability to inspire, motivate, and build relationships across the company
Strong experience with project budgeting and financial oversight

Salary Range:
$140,000 - $150,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
