Jacobs Senior Project Manager - Education Facilities in Albany, New York
We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Project Manager to support Pre K-14 and Higher Education clients across New York State’s Upstate/Capital District Region. In this role, you’ll serve as an owner’s representative overseeing a diverse portfolio of capital projects, leading planning efforts, driving execution, and ensuring that every project meets performance, schedule, and budget expectations.
Your ability to manage competing priorities, communicate with clarity, and proactively resolve challenges will position you for success in our fast paced, team oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end to end project delivery, from early planning through closeout, ensuring adherence to established controls, procedures, and quality standards
Oversee project schedules, cost management, reporting, resource coordination, and construction document review and interpretation
Provide project leadership around safety, quality, schedule, and stakeholder coordination, including design partners and client representatives
Identify and resolve critical project issues while maintaining alignment with client goals and organizational requirements
Manage multiple concurrent projects within a large scale capital program environment
8+ years of experience managing multiple projects, including planning, scheduling review, project controls, reporting, and resource management
Bachelor’s degree or professional certification in a related field; additional experience may substitute for education
8+ years of experience in construction involving multi phase, large scale building rehabilitation projects
Minimum 4 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager
OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ideally, you'll have:
Working knowledge of Primavera, P6, or other project management software
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential
