Doyle Security Systems Security & Fire Alarm Installation Technician in Albany, New York

Salary: $25-$30/hour

What You'll Do

As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing and commissioning new security and fire alarm systems in residential and commercial environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Install and configure electronic security systems including intrusion, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and network-based intercom systems

  • Run and terminate low-voltage wiring

  • Install devices including keypads, cameras, sensors, panels, and access control hardware

  • Program and configure systems for proper functionality

  • Perform system testing and commissioning

  • Educate customers on system operation and features

  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations

  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality expectations

    What You'll Need

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of low-voltage installation experience preferred (trainees considered)

  • Valid driver's license with good driving record

  • Experience installing security, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, or intercom systems

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and wiring

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • OSHA 10 and/or NICET certification a plus

  • Willingness to travel locally within the Albany region

Work Requirements:

  • Ability to drive a company vehicle

  • Comfortable working on ladders and in various environments

  • Ability to lift equipment and tools as needed

  • Adherence to all safety protocols
