We’re building an ongoing pipeline of compassionate, clinically strong RNs, Nurse Leaders for Acute Care roles across our three Acute care hospitals and Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital. Locations Across the Capital Region
Acute Care Hospitals: St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, Samaritan Hospital and Albany Memorial Hospital in Troy.
Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital: Inpatient rehabilitation hospital
Openings vary by unit and shift. Candidates will be matched to the best fit based on experience, interests, and scheduling availability.

What You Will Do
As an RN in Acute Care, you will:
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
Administer medications and treatments, manage IV therapy, and monitor patient responses
Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition; escalate appropriately
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
Document care accurately and in accordance with standards and regulatory requirements
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care aligned to unit standards
Coordinate care transitions and discharge planning as needed
Participate in patient safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
Support a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous learning
Qualifications
Current New York State RN license in New York State
Associate’s Degree from an accredited Nursing program
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required for Nurse Leader positions
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking
Commitment to patient‑centered care and teamwork
Preferred (Not Required)
Acute care experience (Med/Surg, ICU, ED, Tele, etc.)
BLS required; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit

Pay Range: $40.00 -$71.31 per hour
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
