The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for administrative data entry, reviewing and auditing reports and other related administrative tasks as assigned. This position is located within a busy, fast paced medical staff Credentialing Office at Albany Med. This position works closely with the Director on Provider Expirables.

This is an in office position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Strictly adhere to HIPAA and NYS HIV Confidentiality Law

• Collect information from medical records, licenses and other various data forms and enter them into databases

• Maintain organized filing and tracking systems

• Work independently, asking questions when guidance is needed

• Inform supervisor of data entry issues

• Practice strong attention to detail and accuracy of data entry

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required

• Experience with data entry and Microsoft Office - required

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy (High proficiency)

• Excellent organization and tracking skills (High proficiency)

• Familiarity with medical terminology

• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality principles
