ManpowerGroup Forklift Operator in Albany, Georgia

Now Hiring: Forklift Operator

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Schedule: 2‑2‑3 Rotating Schedule

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

  • Night Shift: 7:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable, safety‑focused Forklift Operators to support our converting and paper‑making operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping converting lines supplied with the correct paper, transporting and storing parent rolls, and maintaining accurate inventory within the warehouse. This is a hands‑on, critical role supporting continuous production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure converting lines receive the correct paper on time to prevent downtime

  • Remove fresh paper from paper‑making conveyors and transport to converting lines or storage

  • Safely handle parent rolls using proper clamp pressure and operating techniques

  • Operate safely around Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs), maintaining required distances and right‑of‑way

  • Use RTCIS to scan, track, store, and retrieve parent rolls accurately

  • Maintain physical inventory accuracy within assigned warehouse buildings

  • Identify and properly handle rejected, on‑hold, and released parent rolls

  • Stack parent rolls correctly to meet fire and safety code requirements

  • Operate forklifts to supply paper‑making operations with full and empty core bins

  • Load and unload inter‑plant paper and operate the Lan‑Wrapper as needed

  • Report all safety incidents immediately and follow all plant safety practices

  • Complete pre‑operation equipment checks and comply with traffic and pedestrian safety rules

Safety & Operational Expectations

  • Travel in reverse with clamps positioned 3–5 inches from the floor

  • Follow proper mounting and dismounting procedures at all times

  • Use horn signals when near pedestrians or intersections

  • Obey all posted signage, stop signs, and right‑of‑way rules

  • Understand plant alarms, evacuation procedures, and assembly areas

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience operating forklifts or industrial vehicles preferred - minimum 1 year experience (training provided)

  • Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and detail

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment

  • Willingness to work rotating 12‑hour shifts (2‑2‑3 schedule)

  • Team‑oriented mindset and strong communication skills
