Position: Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Driver's License for any driving duties assigned. Must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds (lbs) and be able to work outside for at least 7 hours a day with exposure to extreme temperatures and weather, as well as perform extensive pushing or pulling; extensive sitting or walking; frequent stooping or bending over; and repetitive movements. Must also possess the physical strength and endurance to conduct harvest activities, working rapidly and skillfully with hands. Must have at least one month of recent and verifiable experience within the past two years for the job duties listed. Must be capable of understanding work and safety instructions in English or Spanish (the languages spoken and written in the workplace) and must attend required orientation. Worker may be subject to post-hire drug testing if involved in a reportable accident or upon reasonable suspicion at the Employer's expense.
Job Description: All job duties are in relation to the farming and production of potato, malt barley and seed potato crops. The worker will need to comply with the working conditions, requirements and perform any combination of the following tasks at the employer owned and operated work site, to include:
- Expected to work in conditions normally associated with uneven fields and the Colorado climate;
- Conditions include: dust, extremes of temperature, wind and at times, exposure to high levels of pollen;
- Workers should wear clothing suited to these conditions, including closed-toe shoes, hats, gloves, protective sleeves, and jackets which will provide adequate protection and allow freedom of movement.
- Workers to perform rouging activities for certified seed potatoes;
- Workers must be able to listen, understand and follow the instructions of company supervisors and managers;
- Workers must be willing to perform all duties according to the employers rules and regulations during the the contract period;
- Operate tractors to prepare the ground for planting and harvesting potatoes, malt barley and seed potatoes;
- Perform a variety of tasks using a tractor; such as discing, mowing, floating, cultivating, harvesting, fertilizing and chemical applications;
- Worker must have prior experience mixing chemicals and calibrating the equipment;
- Calibrate agricultural implements such as chemical spray nozzles, operate backhoes, and perform routine tractor maintenance and basic repairs;
- Assist in cleaning warehouses;
- Lift and carry 50lb boxes or bags;
- Workers will be expected to comply with all provisions of the Clearance Order (ETA 790A) and the Company's work rules, policies and procedures and perform any and all assigned tasks in a work-person-like and efficient manner. Failure to do so will subject the worker to the Employer's disciplinary procedure.

Anticipated Hours of Work Per Week: Up to 40 hours per week from 8:00AM-3:30PM, Monday thru Friday for 7 hours each day and for 5 hours on Saturdays.

**Effective 1/1/25: overtime must be paid after 48 hours worked per week, or 56 hours worked per week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers.
