Aerotek Light Industrial Assembler in Alameda, California

Job Title: Light Industrial Assembler

Job Description

This position involves the manufacturing and assembly of precision test and measurement equipment, calibration and testing of products, and assistance with inventory management. This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and support team members in lifting materials.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble printed circuit boards into enclosures.

  • Log quality control information for test and calibration procedures.

  • Label products accurately.

  • Package products for shipping and manage the receiving of packages.

  • Manufacture and assemble precision test and measurement equipment.

  • Assist purchasing and shipping departments with projects as needed.

  • Participate in inventory control and counts.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in electromechanical assembly and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), work order travelers, Bill of Materials, and electrical testing.

  • Attention to detail and extensive PC skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented.

  • Hand dexterity for assembly, calibration, and packaging tasks.

  • Ability to follow verbal and documented instructions.

  • Self-starter with an inquisitive nature.

  • Prior manufacturing experience is a bonus but not required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alameda, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
