Job Title: Lead Assembly Technician
Job Description
This role involves assisting the supervisor in leading and managing an assigned team and its manufacturing process. The position requires effective interaction with employees and multiple departments to achieve production goals.
Responsibilities
Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
Operate the cells according to employee qualifications and production.
Ensure employees are properly trained for their positions.
Enforce policies, procedures, and regulations.
Contribute to and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Enforce Product Quality according to defined standards.
Notify Supervisor of employee issues concerning attendance and performance.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and work orders for team members.
Measure and maintain production line quality targets.
Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Actively participate in the assembly team, following build sheets and drawings to ensure accuracy and uniformity.
Use a variety of measuring devices including gauges and calipers, and various hand and foot-powered tools.
Ensure that the product is assembled consistently and meets both external and internal requirements.
Monitor assembly and/or service processes to ensure compliance.
Use the ERP system to look up necessary information.
Locate work instructions, assembly instructions, drawings, and other necessary information in the database.
Correctly interpret internal or customer requirements on drawings and other documentation.
Understand work order packets and ensure traceability of parts is maintained.
Correctly assemble and inspect parts to required inspection levels.
Measure parts with calipers and have a good understanding of measuring units.
Use a microscope to assemble and inspect small parts repetitively.
Assist in packaging of parts and ensure compliance to all quality and customer standards.
Keep customer satisfaction as the priority.
Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
