* Job description:*

• Oversee and manage the estimating process for construction projects
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
• Utilize construction management software such as HeavyBid to create and track estimates
• Analyze project requirements and develop strategies to optimize cost control and maximize profitability
• Proficient in interpreting drawings and plans and creating detailed drawings.
• Prepare and present estimates to clients, including detailed breakdowns of labor, materials, and other project costs
• Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and pricing
• Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates

Qualifications-

• Proven experience in construction estimating, including knowledge of industry best practices and standards
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project documents and specifications
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Solid understanding of cost control principles and the ability to develop strategies for optimizing project profitability
• Experience in project management, including the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Must have a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle to commute and network.

Job Type: Currently 7 am to 12 noon -- must be able to work full time

*Our standard hours of operation are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Currently due to a slower workload, we are operating on a reduced schedule from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. However, this is temporary, and we will return to our regular 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule as business picks up. Therefore, applicants should be available to work the full-day schedule when that transition occurs. *
