Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play an integral part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our key financial processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, data entry, and be proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage 50.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform data entry tasks to create and maintain up-to-date financial records.
Review, validate, and process invoices, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
Reconcile discrepancies identified in financial reports and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve any issues.
Utilize QuickBooks and Sage 50 to efficiently manage daily accounting functions.
Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports for internal analysis and review.
Assist in the organization and maintenance of filing systems for financial documents.
Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Ensure adherence to all company accounting policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks and Sage 50 accounting software.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with invoice processing and financial record management.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and resolve discrepancies.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality in handling financial information.
