Akahi Associates LLC Referral Coordinator in Air Force Academy, Colorado
Overview
Location: Air Force Academy
Pay rate: $20/hr - $26/hr, Health & Wellness $4.22*/hr worked (in lieu of benefits)
*Schedule: * Works Monday through Friday. Shifts may be 8 to 10 hour per day, but will not go over 40 hours a week. Duties will need to be performed at the MFT during core hours (0700-1700).

Responsibilities
- Coordinates specialty care referrals. Maintains and tracks referral records.
- Coordinates referral management functions and ensures team members receive information in a timely and efficient manner to facilitate continuity of patient care.
- Reviews specialty care referrals for appropriateness, covered benefit, and administrative and completeness.
- Shall have knowledge in the area of health benefits.
- Participates with team members in providing, assessing and improving a wide variety of customer services/relations.
- Assists in the management of all forms of communication between beneficiaries, team members, internal staff and providers, network/outside providers and ancillary health care workers.
- The contractor will be responsible for using Composite Healthcare System, Electronic Worldwide Referral and Authorization System (EWRAS), or other systems designated.
Qualifications
- Shall be able to read, understand, speak, and write English well enough to communicate effectively.
- Education and Training. High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency. Completion of Administrative Assistant program is desirable.
