Group Lead - 1st Shift Job Description Staff Specialist within the Facilities Industrial Repair & Maintenance job family. Completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways. Complexity & Problem Solving: Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Collaboration & Interaction: Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. May be informal team leader. Staff Specialist (Hourly) Requirements Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ years\' technical experience relevant to specific work area preferred. Ability to understand written and verbal assignments, including the ability to interpret related documents such as quality specifications, Kanban cards or work orders. Ability to understand and achieve compliance with company policies and procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to build teams. Basic PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite preferred. Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills. Experience developing and/or training team members preferred. Good people skills and willingness not only to teach and help others, but an interest in working with and learning from others. Strong sense of responsibility and ownership. Positive can-do attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices. Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch. Ability to use hard tined rake to move/break apart parts frequently. The position requires the ability to regularly stand. The position requires good close vision and depth perception skills. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
