Hours: 55 hours/week, Monday - Friday 10 hours/day, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Saturday 5 hours). Sunday 0 hours/day.

Job Duties:

Help with our grain and crop production. Employees will need to assist with all aspect of raising corn and beans. In the spring this will include field preparation, tilling and planting the crop. In the summer employees will need to assist with spraying and caring for the crop during the growing season and in the fall, employees will need to assist with harvesting and hauling the crop. Employees operate farm equipment including tractors, sprayers, and other farm equipment.

Job also requires picking rocks in the fields. Employees will need to drive semi-trucks to haul the crops. Complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and trucks. During the summer employees will need to also assist with yard work including moving and yard maintenance around buildings. Complete routine maintenance and repairs on farm buildings to assist with upkeep.

Job requires extensive sitting, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures.

Minimum Education Required

No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

We require 3 months of experience. Employees must have a regular driver's license. No commercial truck driving is required.

Compensation

$19.33 / Hourly

Additional Compensation

Employer may, at its sole discretion, provide pay increases based on longevity or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
