Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Adelanto, California
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Adelanto, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing customer accounts, processing payments, and ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Process and apply incoming payments accurately to customer accounts.
• Communicate with customers to address outstanding balances and resolve billing inquiries.
• Manage commercial collections and follow up on overdue payments.
• Set up and maintain new customer accounts with precision and attention to detail.
• Handle data entry tasks to ensure financial records are consistently updated.
• Collaborate with the customer service team to respond to inquiries and provide payment solutions.
• Answer inbound calls and assist customers with payment-related concerns.
• Perform cash application tasks, ensuring timely and accurate allocation of funds.
• Support billing functions by generating and distributing invoices.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism while interacting with customers and internal teams. Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience handling cash and positing payments
• Strong understanding of billing processes and financial record-keeping.
• Excellent customer service skills, including experience in a call center environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish preferred.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and account management.
• Familiarity with customer account setup and maintenance.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
