Abilene Housing Authority Maintenance and Repair Workers, General in Abilene, Texas
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: include, but are not limited to:
Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and HVAC support
Assisting with Site Cleanup
Maintaining Lawns (mowing, edging) and perform PMS on lawn equipment
Inspecting and Maintaining Playgrounds Check and service Irrigation Systems
Prepare vacant units for occupancy (cleaning, painting, minor repairs)
Repair/replace fixtures, appliances, such as refrigerators and stoves.
Perform repairs to damaged walls, doors, floors, etc
Operate lawn mower and use landscaping tools to maintain appearance of Public Housing sites and AHA offices.
Operate and maintain maintenance tools and equipment safely
Assist with emergency maintenance situations (water leaks, power outages, storm damage, etc.)
Respond to On-Call emergencies (rotating basis).
Conduct inspections and assist with preparations for HUD inspections.
Attend required trainings.
Perform additional duties as assigned
