Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a System Administrator to join one of their federal contracting clients in the Baltimore, MD area. The System Admin will support a SATCOM contract and will be in charge of operational support, sustainment, and oversight of STRMM (SATCOM Terminal Remote Management and Monitoring) systems across local and remote environments – configuring and monitoring satellite dishes remotely. This role works closely with Network Engineers, vendors, and military stakeholders to ensure system availability, security compliance, and timely resolution of issues. An active Secret security clearance is required.
This is a fully onsite opportunity – 5 days a week.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-Support Network Engineers with STRMM software updates across cluster and terminal servers
-Coordinate with CodeMettle to implement applicable IAVA updates and deploy required patches to remote systems
-Work with SMC Help Desk personnel to oversee sustainment and support activities for local and remote STRMM systems
-Monitor and manage CodeMettle‑assigned trouble tickets, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved from open to close
-Coordinate with AFCENT and CodeMettle engineers to troubleshoot and resolve STRMM‑related system issues impacting the AFCENT network
-Ensure systems remain compliant with military cybersecurity and operational requirements
-Provide documentation, reporting, and status updates as required

Skills and Requirements
-Active Secret clearance
-Bachelor’s Degree OR 10 years of related experience
-Minimum 4 years of IT customer support experience
-Minimum 2 years of experience supporting systems in a military environment
-Experience supporting enterprise systems in a DoD or cleared environment
-Familiarity with system patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation (IAVA) Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert -Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline
