Your role at Clorox:
The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a MRO Materials Coordinator position at our Aberdeen, MD facility. This facility uses automated packaging equipment and utilities to manufacture and distribute Clorox Liquid Bleach products. The MRO Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance, repair, and operations activities to support plant reliability, safety, and production performance. This role serves as the central point of coordination between Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Materials Management, ensuring effective execution of planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance while minimizing equipment downtime and operational disruptions.
Candidates must be able to work three (3) shifts times and overtime as business needs dictate, for example:1st shift: (7am – 3:30pm,) 2nd shift: (3pm – 11:30pm), 3rd shift: (11pm – 7:30am).
Pay Range: $28.30-$33.85. Operating in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. Candidate must satisfactorily complete the employment application with attached resume, as well as complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
In this role, you will:
The primary responsibility of the MRO Coordinator is to minimize maintenance related downtime and optimize the utilization (and effectiveness) of the facility's maintenance resources. The MRO Coordinator is responsible for promoting and maintaining cooperation of the production and technical teams through effective and constant communications and supporting and training new production team maintenance planners. The MRO Coordinator leverages enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to drive data accuracy, visibility, compliance, and continuous improvement across maintenance and materials processes.
Coordination
Vendor management and relationship; i.e. contracts
Performs all work in accordance with OSHA and Clorox safety standards at all times. Helps drive a culture that prioritizes safety as a core value.
Close cooperation with Operations, Maintenance Manager, Plant Engineers, Shipping, Planner/Schedulers, and Maintenance Technicians.
Assists with providing parts data and information for effective MRO inventory levels.
Receive and put a way or stage all incoming parts.
Proficiency in the use of the SAP to inventory items and maintain the necessary records (including but not limited to cycle count records, location records, etc.). Expected to master certain functions in SAP as required.
Must keep parts/supplies/work order staging area and MRO office in a clean and orderly condition.
Helps maintain current parts and equipment catalogs and sources for purchasing items.
Assist in training in applicable areas limited to the parts and equipment modules of the SAP system.
Support SAP database system maintenance, audits, and reviews.
Add/update information on parts and equipment in SAP as directed by the MRO Coordinator.
Assure that parts used from stock are issued out in SAP and inventory adjustments are made to ensure appropriate stock levels.
Work and meet with vendors and suppliers as necessary to resolve plant issues.
Return unused parts to vendors using RTV process.
Add /update new parts to stock and physically locating them in spare parts inventory.
Reconcile counts in SAP/use SAP to generate and print count sheets.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and vendors (use e-mail, phone and fax).
Ability to drive forklift or plant vehicle when materials are urgently needed.
Audit ready work areas and report on staged work orders and open work orders not found in staging areas.
Cross reference OEM parts to manufacturer part numbers.
Enter request for new SAP part numbers and extend to storeroom.
Inventory and create P-req's for all consumable items.
Work in IDMS to assure invoices are paid.
What we look for:
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a parts room management / inventory control (preferred).
Intermediate SAP work order and parts management skills (preferred).
Possess strong math skills, spreadsheet/database skills, as well as general parts knowledge.
Be willing to work overtime as needed. Workdays and schedule may change periodically for training purposes, and according to business needs. Must be able to work off shift and some weekends.
All other duties assigned.
Internals must be fully qualified skill Level 2.
