Your role at Clorox:

The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Maintenance Planner position at our Aberdeen, MD facility. This facility uses automated packaging equipment and utilities to manufacture and distribute Clorox Liquid Bleach products. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role manages SAP data integrity, supports work center staffing updates, oversees materials readiness, and provides critical reporting to support maintenance performance and continuous improvement.

The Maintenance Planner partners closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, MRO, and other cross functional teams to ensure that work orders, task lists, BOMs, parts, and equipment information are correct, up to date, and aligned with plant and corporate standards.

Starting hourly pay: $37.92- $40.62 with a shift differential for overnight hours when applicable. Rotational Shifts: (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

In this role, you will:

Preventive Maintenance (PM) Planning & Scheduling

  • Create, enter, and maintain all PM Task Lists in SAP.

  • Build and modify Maintenance Plans for all PM activities and supplies needed.

  • Activate and deactivate seasonal PMs such as Heat Trace PMs, etc.

  • Print and distribute weekly PM packets for Packaging and Molding departments.

  • Equipment & SAP Master Data Management

  • Create and update Equipment Master data within SAP.

  • Remove unused or obsolete equipment as required.

  • Build and maintain Equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs).

  • Maintain accuracy of PM Change Request forms and ensure proper retention documentation per corporate policy.

  • Work Center & Labor Management

  • Maintain associate assignments within Work Centers.

  • Move associates between Work Centers and remove employees no longer with the company.

  • Generate work hour spreadsheets by PM type (PM01, PM02, PM03) to support Maintenance Skill Block assessments.

  • Maintenance Reporting & Metrics

  • Generate and distribute all reports for Weekly Maintenance Metrics, including:

  • Emergency Work Orders

  • Open PM list

  • Open Safety PM list

  • Safety Work Orders

  • Prepare PM Completion Reports:

  • PM Confirmations by team

  • Combined PM Confirmations

  • Prepare PM Hours and Month Look Ahead Reports, including:

  • Next week PM hours by Planner Group (020–090), broken down by Down, Runtime, Start up, Shutdown

  • Four week projected PM lists by PM week and Planner Group

  • Email all weekly reports to designated stakeholders.

  • MRO Parts & Materials Support

  • Review, validate, and modify Parts Risk Assessments submitted by plant personnel.

  • Ensure SAP naming conventions, part descriptions, and required fields to meet corporate standards.

  • Verify manufacturer and vendor for part numbers, reorder levels, and part rankings.

  • Confirm parts are not duplicated in SAP; identify parts for extension or correction.

  • Assist MRO with organizing and locating new parts in the Parts Room.

  • Submit Spare Parts Change Requests to corporate for updates to part descriptions or manufacturer data.

  • Research alternate vendors, replacements for obsolete items, and sources for difficult to find components.

  • Maintain organized records, drawings, quotes, and historical documentation.

  • Develop PowerPoint training modules for SAP-related tasks.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through correct data management, process standardization, and system optimization.

  • Alignment with Opex on Continuous Improvement projects and change management requirements.

What we look for:

  • Experience with SAP PM or equivalent CMMS required.

  • Strong understanding of maintenance workflows and equipment reliability practices.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization abilities.

  • Ability to work cross functionally in a fast paced environment.

  • Physical Capabilities: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • o Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.

  • o Ability to utilize good eye-hand coordination. o Ability to perform occasional bending and squatting. o Ability to tolerate kneeling and/or crawling in small and confined spaces. o Ability tolerate exposure to non-weather-related hot temperatures. o Ability to use coordination and dexterity in fingers while wearing protective gloves. o Ability to push/pull material weighing up to 50 lbs. o Ability to frequently climb and descend stairs. o Ability to reach floor level, overhead and forward to working on machines. o Ability to climb stairs or access platforms when reviewing equipment or validating maintenance tasks. o Visual acuity required for working on computer systems, reviewing technical documents, reading part numbers, and verifying equipment details. o Use of PPE (safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc.) when working in designated plant areas. o Ability to work in varying temperature environments depending on plant conditions and season. o Ability to tolerate sustained standing/walking up to 10 hours a day, for up to 7 consecutive days.
