Amentum Electrical Engineer in Aberdeen, Maryland
Amentum is now hiring for several exciting positions in support of the Prototyping Integration Facility (PIF) of the Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center (C5ISR) at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. This project will provide the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Futures Command, U.S. Special Forces and the U.S. Marine Corps integration of C5ISR operational prototypes onto a range Military Weapon Systems & Platforms (air, ground & sea) as well as performing C5ISR prototyping, integration, and testing support based on Real-World emerging needs of the Warfighter.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Work as Network/ Electrical Engineer performing the design and fabrication of prototype/ limited manufacturing programs focused on C5ISR programs.
Provide technical contributions to the development of concepts, technical data packages, and oversee fabrication of hardware systems.
Work with other engineers to ensure quality, safety and logistics concerns related to systems designs are met.
Assist in the preparation of test plans to demonstrate the effectiveness of the design packages.
Assess the results of the design and test phases and work with customers by providing estimates for work and tracking expenditures.
Required Qualifications:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related scientific/technical discipline
Must have the technical background and skills to perform in all phases of hardware electrical circuit design, development, and documentation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Must possess the technical expertise to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
Performs fundamental engineering duties in preliminary designs, performing tests, taking measurements and performing system analyses or simulations.
Apply standard practices and techniques in specific electrical engineering assignments. Assist CAD designers in developing the electrical design of products.
Prepare data and documentation when applicable. Instructs, as required, electronics technicians, junior engineers, or serve as a contributor to large and complex projects. Works independently, with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of experience serving as an engineer or equipment designer
Combination of Electrical and Mechanical experience
Hardware design, assembly and test experience
Experience related to design, development or production of military equipment or equivalent, preferable C5ISR systems.
Robotics and/or Counter UAS experience
Compensation Details:
$95,000-$125,000
