Our well-known healthcare client is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support their global marketing team during a colleagues leave. This role is execution-focused and critical to ensuring continuity across marketing programs, events, and campaigns.

This role is remote from a day-to-day work perspective; however, the selected candidate must be able to pick up their equipment in either Chicago or Columbus, as laptops will not be shipped. The durations is around 6 months with possible extension.

The Event Marketing Specialist will report to the Marketing Direct and work closely with cross-functional partners to manage timelines, coordinate vendors and agencies for events, and keep initiatives moving forward in a highly regulated healthcare environment.

In order to be considered, the Event Marketing Specialist must have:

• 2+ years of experience in a marketing coordinator or marketing specialist role
• Hands-on experience supporting marketing events such as trade shows, sales meetings, etc.
• Experience working in a regulated industry (healthcare strongly preferred)
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Comfort managing multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to execute against established strategies rather than owning strategy development
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to pivot quickly between projects and ramp up on new topics

Event Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:

• Support lead generation initiatives through coordination and execution
• Coordinate logistics for marketing and leadership events, including vendors, venues, agencies, and materials
• Manage timelines, task trackers, and marketing calendars to ensure on-time delivery
• Create, update, and edit marketing materials in alignment with brand and compliance guidelines
• Support campaign execution and assist with performance and metric tracking
• Act as a liaison between marketing managers, product teams, agencies, and cross-functional partners
• Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and marketing documentation
• Provide general marketing operations and administrative support as needed
• Support leadership meetings, sales award trips, and internal marketing initiatives as required
• Ensure all materials and activities align with brand standards and compliance requirements
