Job description
Develop design, specification, CAD models (3D), drawings per requirements based on OEM and Regulatory Authorities specifications and customer requirements.
Coordination with product design owner for manufacturing sustaining activities.
Support manufacturing teams to optimize designs, improve processes; reduce parts count, manufacturing costs, and assembly error and other factors that affects cost, and quality including tools and equipment.
Troubleshoot and solve design and integration issues.
Support customers, suppliers and internal teams to review design for manufacturability.
Drive design changes by managing Engineering Change Requests and Drawing Change Notices.
Provide and implement technical solutions and obtain customers approval.
Maintain state-of-art knowledge in design practices, material, components, and software tools.
Maintain design control and use company's PLM and processes.
Contribute to Material Review Board and create rejection tags accordingly.
Prepare test setups and develop test reports.
Select materials for mechanical designs based on structural needs and materials specifications.
Advise on materials specifications, material processing and coating specifications, material testing reports.
Candidate skills & requirements
Education not below Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering or equivalent
Confirmed Experience with CAD software mainly CATIA and drawing creation/modification
Good mechanical knowledge
Experience in project management
Proficient English, both oral and written skills is required.
